This was quickly followed by the end of the ban on homosexuality and the adoption of a new law on adoption which has opened a legal route for both gay couples and single heterosexual couples to adopt children.
In June 2012, in a referendum, voters approved a constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage in the country.
Oftentimes, political activists will make a film that demonstrates a political reality. This film is not meant to be a look into what is going on in the country, but a tool to create awareness of the situation and to get people to recognize that they have a choice to be for or against what is going on in Syria. They do not represent any type of official statement from the Free Syrian Army, but just the reality of the situation.
